Requisition of Documents

Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad and foreign citizens have the right to address the General Archive Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan through diplomatic representation (consular service) of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad and request certain document. The following procedure apples:

The applicant applies to the consular officer of the Embassy and completes two application forms for each document being requested and pays the appropriate consular fee.

The request is forwarded through the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the General Archive Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan. After a search has been completed the Department sends the requested document to the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for forwarding to the Embassy where the application was submitted.
