Visiting the occupied territories is the act of illegal crossing the national border of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Trespassers will be included to the list of objectionable foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Office hours of the Consular Section: Monday 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m, Wednesday and Friday 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To obtain a visa for travel to the Republic of Azerbaijan the following documents must be submitted to the Consular section of the Embassy:
For business, education and visit visas an invitation letter from receiving party, for tourist visas Tourist Voucher from receiving travel agency in Azerbaijan.
Applicants letter to Embassy requesting visa, with information about purpose of visit, duration of stay, arrival and departure dates.
One completed visa application form. Application form is available here or may be faxed upon request. (Answer to all questions is to be printed or handwritten in block letters on both left and right sides of the application).
Copy of flight ticket (for tourist, business and visit visas).
Original passport
Two photos (3x4cm).
Consular fee:
For Indonesian citizens:
- single entry - $ 45
- double entry - $ 80
- tourist visa (+ touristic vaucher) - $ 20
- transit single entry $ 20
- transit double - $ 40
- multiple entry (up to 1 year) - $ 250
- diplomatic and service visas are free-exempt
For transit visa a copy of flight ticket, visa of destination state, one completed visa application form, two photos (3x4cm), passport and consular fee are required.
For diplomatic and service visa Note of Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Embassy, one completed visa application form, two photos (3x4cm) and passport are required.
Processing time from 3 to 5 days.
All foreigners visiting Azerbaijan for a period of more than 30 days must register their passports with the local passport-registration authorities.
Changes in the procedures of getting entry visas by foreign citizens and stateless persons upon arrival in the Republic of Azerbaijan
According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 326 dated September 13, 2010, foreign citizens and stateless persons upon their arrival in the Republic of Azerbaijan can get entry visas in the visa sections in the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the following cases:
1. In the cases envisaged in the interstate and intergovernmental treaties of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
2. Persons visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan by the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Head of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic;
3. Persons visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan by the official invitation of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the heads of the central executive power bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman (Governor) of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Head of Administrative Department of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Head of Special Medical Service of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the management of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Department, heads of the foreign companies operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the international treaties supported by the Republic of Azerbaijan, agreed with the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
4. Members of the diplomatic, administrative and technical staff of the foreign diplomatic missions, consulates, and offices of the international organizations in the Republic of Azerbaijan and their family members, as well as foreign citizens visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan with special diplomatic missions;
5. Persons visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan by the official invitation of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Azerbaijan to participate in the operations to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations;
6. Persons visiting the Republic of Azerbaijan due to the death of a family member, on the basis of the relevant confirmation documents;
7. In the cases visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan of the citizens of foreign countries where the diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan are not accredited and having straight air line with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
